A Career in Hospice

Kindred at Home Hospice and our affiliates allow patients to make the most of each day at home, wherever home may be – a skilled nursing facility, a friend or family member's place, or the house the patient has been living in for many years. Surrounded by friends and family in a familiar, comfortable environment, our patients receive expert care from our team of physician-directed clinicians.

A career in hospice is about offering a special kind of care that encompasses the medical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of treatment. Our goal is to ensure that our patient's remaining days are lived with dignity and respect.

Great Healthcare Has Come Home

We employ over 6,500 nurses in our more than 550 home health and hospice programs. These highly skilled healthcare professionals provide compassionate care that makes a real difference in the lives of our senior patient population.

Making a Difference

The ideal hospice clinician is someone who:

  • finds providing personal attention to patients and their families rewarding
  • enjoys providing aggressive symptom management that will allow the patients to live their remaining days comfortably and with dignity
  • finds reward in working with an interdisciplinary team to provide care that isn’t just clinical in nature, but rather a holistic approach that addresses the needs of the patient and family
  • has strong clinical skills, including the ability to assess patients for subtle changes
  • has strong critical thinking skills
  • keeps accurate and timely charts/paperwork
  • has strong time management and organizational skills

Compassionate Care. Uncompromising Service.

We value collaboration. That's why we apply a team concept to everything we do. Even when clinicians are treating patients in their homes, they have access to the support and skills of their fellow clinicians, program directors and administrators.
